Minecraft and launcher deadfreeze few seconds after entering the world
Hello does anyone know what to do?
When I go to heavy modpacks for the worlds that I have been playing for a long time, they load RAM, after 10 - 15 seconds, minecraft and launcher freezes without a crash report and I can only close them through the task manager. If I go to new worlds it may not happen right away.
This began to happen after I switched to Windows 10 64, before that I used Windows 7 64 and on the same worlds with mods everything worked for me.
I found an article on the forum https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-6550.
I followed almost all the advice on the forum and it didn't help. I have 12 gigabytes of RAM, I tried to allocate 6, 8, 10 gigabytes for minecraft, used different versions of Java and different arguments, updated drivers for nvidia, used different minecraft launchers, used ADWCleaner to clean files, removed overlays, removed _JAVA_OPTIONS.

Windows 10 uses more RAM then Windows 7 so installing windows 7 instead of using windows 10 is not the solution, the solution is to get more RAM because 6 GB of RAM allocated is way to much the max amount of RAM you should allocate is 2 GB if your max RAM is 12 and your using windows 10, since windows 7 uses less RAM it doesn't freeze because you don't have enough RAM to support the operating system and ADWCleaner won't help the only possible solution that might not even work is that you reduce the amount of background processes you have so that means don't have anything open except for Minecraft and get this program called Razer Cortex which will reduce the amount of background processes so you can use more RAM on Minecraft and less RAM on your operating system. Also what do you expect to happen you have 12 GB of RAM my GPU is almost the oldest AMD GPU on earth and it has more RAM than that.

for the sake of verification, I installed Windows 7 and downloaded this modpack with additional mods to it.
I went to my world and it does not freeze and works well.
For me, this is a solution, but I"m still wondering why it doesn't work on Win10

There is nothing more I can really suggest.
I'm using Win 10, you have tried Win 10, I am using MultiMC, you are using MultiMC, I allocated 8gb, you allocated 6gb, I am using java 8-221 (64bit), you are using whichever version of java you are using. There is little difference between what we are both using, so either you have a service running in the background that I don't, or its just the difference in our hardware, but either way, I have no idea why it works for me and not for you.

I think it depends on the version of Windows, it has built-in java.
Maybe it conflicts with the downloaded one or something else does not allow to exceed the load on the RAM.
When the load exceeds a certain value in minecraft, the process stops
thanks for feedback

I have downloaded this pack from Curseforge, ( https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/impact-gt-edition )and the Websites wiki. In each instance, I am unable to find this mod Armourers-Workshop-1.7.10-0.48.5. So, either you are playing a different version, or you've added this yourself.
I usually play with a couple of my "mod favourites" myself, however with this pack, I have been unable to as the pack becomes unstable when adding something that was't originally with it. If you have added this mod or any others, I would suggest playing the pack "as is" without any additions.
This pack is very much a "one off" as the whole pack has been customised to intigrate all the mods with various recipes and blocks. I have played it for 4 minecraft days. I created a new map using the "Realistic" map option, and I allocated 8GB of ram, although I've not seen the usage go much beyond 4GB.
I was very disappointed to find that absolutly zero hostile mobs spawn. My curiosity meant I had to track down what was causing that. Turns out to be this mod "Impact-core-0.1.0.jar" ........ Unfortunately, you are not abel to use this pack without that mod since it is the core of the intigration between the whole pack, and there is no option in the config to turn hostile mobs on. Even "Random Things" had the bloodmoon turned off, so I turned it on, but as the bloodmoon event started, it never took place, it was like it just got cancelled - odd? Its marked as a "Hardcore" map, but since you can go anywhere at anytime without fear of attack, one has to wonder why or how its "Hardcore".
Anyway, this doesn't assist your problem. All I can say is, I've tried it and it works as-is using the "Realistic" map option on my system (Win 10).. by the way, if you want hostile mobs, the only mod (so far) I've found that works is the "Primitive Mobs" mod
http://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/primitive-mobs
I tried Special mobs and a couple of others, but they fail to generate any hostile mobs in this pack. Since these mods only generate mobs, with the short time I've had to try it out, so far, the pack hasn't crashed.

I have the same problem in this modpack www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/omnifactory/files?sort=totaldownloads
I think I have the same problem everywhere on heavy modpacks

I played with this mod Armourers-Workshop before on this modpack and tried to run the modpack without additional mods.
There is no sense in mobs in this modpack, everything is complicated in technical development, I have already played on my world for about a year and all the mechanisms that I have built load the RAM, so I have a load of 6g, I think. The problem did not appear after adding additional mods, but in changing the system to win10.

You have 12GB of ram and allocating more than half is definitely not good, try allocating 4 or 2 gigs of ram
also try reducing render distance before joining the world

I usually use 6g, I just tried using 8g and 10g
all not working and render distance changing
all not working and render distance changing
1
even 6g is too high use 2 or 4 and try
1
I have definitely tried a lot already with the amount of allocated memory, it does not help

You have a very new version of java installed. You are showing 'jre1.8.0_311'
From what have seen with other users, anything over java 8-300 (and maybe a few in the high 290 versions) will give issues as some of the classes have been depreciated. In short, the newer versions of java are not working so well with certain minecraft mods as things that were available in java 8 have been removed - and you have a lot of mods in your pack, so you are more likely to come across issues.
My suggestion is to install a lower version of java jre. Although I'm not going to say which version is best, because that varies from machine to machine, but for reference, I am using java 8-221 (jre1.8.0_221) and that seems to work for me. HoboMaggot

wouldn't that usually crash the game instead of hanging the game and logs (which I assumed happened throughout the freeze)

HoboMaggot Again, just for reference, here is one type of crash caused by the newer java 8 versions - this was in beta 173 :

Oddly enough, no, not in all cases. I have seen crashes caused by these newer versions, but it all depends on the mods being used and the amount, so there's not always a tell-tale sign - makes it difficult to catch.

i tried to install old versions of java, same problem
1
icephantom do u think you can find something in the logs below?
1
Does your output log say anything just before the freeze?
1
it is very difficult to copy the logs after entering the world, I do not have time to do this because everything freezes, I can try to do it right after entering the world, otherwise I try to wait a few seconds for the world to load right after the freeze
1
Try to stop only the minecraft client (not the launcher) through task manager when it freezes. The output log should remain
1
after closing only minecraft, the launcher does not respond, I can only close it through the task manager

1
I dont see anything wrong here.
How much of your cpu and ram is used when it freezes?
