Minecraft Running Slow

I have forge and Optifine Hd Ultra installed so I can make Minecraft run faster. Usually, it makes Minecraft run super smooth but now it dosent. I still have lag. Is it because Im using Ultra? If so, how do I get a different version cuz the site only has Ultra for 1.11.2. :/

Like what star_weaver said, it all comes down to your PC specifications. Minecraft, a game that doesn't look so graphic demanding is ironically VERY graphic demanding and also, not to mention, RAM demanding. So to sum it up real quick, if you have a crappy graphics card, all you can do is set everything on low, have mods such as Optifine; read here to know the difference between Ultra/Standard/Light http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/ma ... ts-shaders

its not that minecraft is graphically demanding, its that it doesnt use the 3d clock speeds of the card, and javaGL isnt the most optimized either

how much ram your using on minecraft, if you dont know much about that then chances are its default.
