Sky lands with a void?

So I have been looking into getting the game to generate like skylands, so first I would like to ask if people know of any good settings for it that make it perfect, or if not if people knew how to make the whole thing over an actual void? Because the way it is right now people will just fall off the islands and into basically an ocean at level 40, this is the settings I am basing my current settings on but this doesn't have a void: http://worldpresets.com/?post_type=world_preset&p=568

Try changing sea level to 0 and a get a youtube video for removing certain blocks k then it should work

A youtube video? I'm not sure what you mean? And all putting the sea level down would do is make it so all the ground is raw ground

Simplest way, in my eyes, is Worldpainter. Simply create a world, (as small as you can make it) replace any blocks with the 'void' available in one of the toolbars, export it as a minecraft world and set the border as 'void' too, and there's your voidworld.

I mean I want generated islands over a void, which basically would be replacing the bottom 20 blocks of all blocks with air, and while that would be good, it would still generate non void-bottom areas outside of the original area painted
