Tranfering Xbox 360 saves to Xbox One

DISCLAIMER: There appears to be no legacy console category anymore so I put this in the java category.
I recently got an Xbox One, and I also have a 360. Since the update aquatic didn't come out on legacy Xbox one, I was wondering if it's possible to transfer the save file even if the save's been loaded in the update. Help/tips would be very useful. (I know how to transfer the saves, but I don't know if it still works.)
