(Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge) Passive Spawning Issue
I have a server hosted on Aternos.org and it seems to work fine, other than the fact that passive mobs are somehow completely disabled, yet hostile mobs spawn like mad. I've visited multiple help pages but still no resolution. I tried the following:
EDIT: I tried debug profiling and ended up with this same text being spammed in the console:

Yet there are no "root", "tick", or "entities" files i can find.
Theory: I think it may be a lag issue, since the server only has 1600Mb (1Gb) of ram, and these "root" files seem to have no response due to lag, causing unknown entities and a forge config setting removing unknown entities for lag removal. I'll backup the server world and try deleting a few mods to clear up the lag. If this doesn't work, I will try changing the forge config file. I'll keep updating this post.
If you want to see the problem firsthand, my server IP is ( BigBuilder8734.aternos.org )
You will need the following to join the server:
Forge (1.12.2) Build 14.23.5.2795 +
Buildcraft (1.12.2) Build 7.99.24.2 +
IChunUtil (1.12.2) Build 1.12.2-7.2.0 +
Immersive Engineering (1.12.2) Build 0.12-89 +
Portalgun (1.12.2) Build 7.1.0
Please respond soon, i need leather really bad for Immersive Engineering, as well as food other than potatoes.
- /gamerule doMobSpawning true
- /difficulty normal
- Checking all folders with the text "mob" or "passive"
- Deleting unnecessary files
- Checking all config files for my mods
- Checking the forge config files

Would it be possible to allocate another GB to the server? Should allow it to register entities better another thing you might try is a mob control plugin like world guard. In the config you can specify which mobs spawn and in which worlds

It's a free server hosting website, and I think its pretty impossible to add more ram to the server because of how much traffic it has with hundreds of servers at once, but i can try.
P.S. I'll try world guard and see if it helps. Thanks for the feedback!

Well I would defiantly point out that if your getting anything for "Free" that you can't really expect it to work very well,
kind of a "you get what you pay for thing" and in your case you haven't paid for anything
