Is there a reason you're wanting to level up?
If anything, I'd say you should make quality content, like skins, maps, texture packs, stuff like that.

Well, posting quality content is great!
Getting good content on the popreel increases your chances of getting XP, which earns towards leveling up.
Things like forum threads, wall posts, blogs, or many other things can each give you xp.
Entering contests is another good way.
