How to download minecraft mods?

I've downloaded one mod, which is the endangered animals mod. There are mods I'd like to download, but I don't know how. The only way I downloaded that mod was because there were instructions. But not all mods have instructions to download them. So anyone know how to download mods that works for any mods? I'd like to download Bender's bird mod but I don't know how. And any other mod that I wanna download later on. Please help?

What you can do is download them first then open them in 7-zip or Winrar then go ahead and drag the files into your minecraft.jar dont forget to delete your Meta-Inf folder and also put in Modloader (ModloaderMP for Multiplayer) and then it will work for ya Hope this Helps

i have that problem to i can't install mods i had minecraft for 2 years and dont have a singal mod i got mod loder and watched so many videos on how to do it and i can never do it can someone tell me how. a list on what to do would be great

I think you mean install, not download. To download you just click the link and download like you would any file. To install them search Google or Youtube for a guide.
