MaCBook Air Mod installation HELP!!! ALL mac users plz help!

So i have been playing minecraft for a while now and know how to instal pretty much anything and i know how to do the general tricks to make minecraft pro but for some annoying stupid reason.... for the love of mine craft.... I CAN NOT INSTALL ANY MODS!!!!!
This is all of my computers info:MACBOOK AIR OS X VERSION 10.9.2, build 13C64, processor 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5, memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Start up disk: Macintosh HD, 11-inch Screen, Mid 2013, Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME... i am dying without my mods and i've tried everything!!!!! u name it! plz help me please :'(

In Finder: Go to "Go" (on the task bar) hold the "Option" key, click on "Library" go the "Application Support" -> "Minecraft" -> "Mods" iIrc.
