The only ores/minerals I'd like to see this game add is Nether ores basically. It's just a variant of minerals that you can find in the Nether which can also be found in the overworld.
Also - A new biome called "Nether Hills" containing "Nether Emerald Ore".
Quartz, however, wouldn't be exposed to the overworld.
