It might be because you're on a kind of computer. I was making MC skins for a roleplay but couldn't wear one because Chromebooks aren't good for running that kind of stuff. I recommend trying it on another device.

I am making a datapack which adds some op maces to minecraft and each mace has it's own abilities if you want I will provide you the datapack
