Hi, today I wanted to randomly add stones and flowers to the grass, I used the same method I used to show objects in the sand, and a whole day that I try to understand why you see the flowers and the stones in the grass block green ? I checked and double checked but I do not understand where the green comes from, can any of you explain it to me ??? thank you

Unless someone wants to help me download the textures and take a look at them. I have been up to trying to solve the problem but in vain.

Every foliage block like ferns, grass blocks, tallgrass etc are biome colored using foliage.png in colormap folder - what should be colored is stated in json model file where parameter tintindex exist - giving it any value will make the surface tinted.

Looks like you will have to create custom model for fern here, separating stem and leaves.

Processing code is not mine, I wouldn't know where to get our hands on, so far I have recycled codes found around using my graphics.

I had sensed that it was something related to colormap, but for a test I had deleted all the colormap folders, but it remained the same

Becouse game replaced them with default colormaps

Alternatively you could edit the colormap file to be completely white - but it will affect all foliage blocks and they will no longer be biome tinted but gray, so you will have to color them yourself

For the first time, I am unable to solve the problem, I have to leave it like that, so over time maybe I can solve it.

thank you anyway for the suggestions

I created a template resourcepack, where additional details is not tinted: mediafire.com/file//custom_grass.zip

I procured your package, it works but it puts the details in all the blocks, it was nice if it would have randomized without filling everything

I gave you example, you will have to randomize blocks yourself using blockstate and renaming the model with details on it

When Minecraft renders the grass, it make it green. All of it. Including your flowers and stones. So what I think you need to do is somehow adjust the color of the flowers and stones to make them nullify the green e.g. by making them more red.

I think it might be because grass changes its green intensity according to biomes, for example jungle grass is more saturated than plains grass. Maybe the texture is getting colored green because of the biome.

That's just my guessing though, I've never really encountered this.
