Ghoulcraft causing minecraft to freeze

so im trying to get ghoulcraft loaded up so i can create a christmas build for my friend's server. none of the individual packs are working, nor is the mega pack, any tips to make it work?

See if you are on minecraft versions 1.13 up to 1.16, and check whether you have optifine installed.
