Please tell me by what block do you mean "the ground", i can only make players die if they have a specific block (could be grass,anything) and i could make it more than 1 block like i could make it that you die if you touch grass blocks dirt water etc...

Everytime you kill a villager, you get a star. It's basically GTA but instead of police, you get iron golems.
1 star = 1 iron golem
5 stars = 5 iron golems
Simple!

How about a data pack that spawns a magic clown that jumps around, and chases you. If the clown gets within 5 blocks of you, it spams pillager-celebration sound and starts shooting brightly-coloured projectiles. If the projectiles hit an entity or wall, they summon tnt with a fuse of 2 seconds. Also, if the clown gets within 2 blocks of the player, it will very violently explode. On death, the clown drops a "Clown Box" which will explode with the power of a power 25 creeper when held in the player's mainhand.

You - the player - are an undead mob. You burn in sunlight (and probably spawn at night to make up for this, if possible), other undead mobs become neutral instead of hostile, and villagers/iron golems decidedly do not like you. Pretty appropriate for the spooky month, I think.
