I have this datapack i always tag along "Rarer structures 1.19.1" made by "Spuduking" on my request.
I play Minecraft annually every year or so but i really like to make it tough but keep it vanilla as possible.
How to properly set this pack to work on new 1.21.4 Minecraft?
I tried the plain change in "pack.mcmeta" under "pack_format" and changed the value from 10 to 61 corresponding to version 1.21.4 with the help of Chat GPT. Which really did let me open new game without issues but it seems like it is not working.
All the villages are spawning without reduction.
Can anyone tell me what to do next.

the mcmeta file is what makes the pack red when you try to load it into the game, it doesn't actually do anything to the contents of the pack itself. chances are, something that the pack modifies has changed between 1.19 and 1.21, whether that's simple syntax, block ids, or something a lot deeper in the actual code functions. you always have the option of playing minecraft 1.19.1, which would be the easiest fix, or you could look through the files in the pack to see if you can figure out what isn't working anymore by comparing it to game files from 1.21.4
best of luck

Idk if this helps but here is a datapack updater if your still needing it.

That looks interesting, but it only goes up (1.19.4 >> 1.19.3 returns invalid range) & only from 1.16.4 to 1.19.4 (1.20 says "This upgrade is still being worked on" )

Ooooh gotcha, thought it could support 1.21
