Maybe you could Make a special item that you can use to make custom block Designs in-game :D
1
I would do that if i could but to make custom block designs you need to access resource pack files which i can't do from the game.

Blocks/items that help you build!
1
Do you mean like walls and bridges or something else?
1
What I sorta meant, is a block that will autobuild stuff! So, when you right click it, a GUI will come up saying ;Select what to build:' and have a list of structures (which, if you do it, can I help with the structures?) the datapacks structures and vanilla structures. Mainly for people who are new to Minecraft, and are not the best at building, and sometimes pros as well, never know when you need a quick shack!
Sorry for random numbers, I commented in the wrong place and copied it XD

I can do this as a separate data-pack.
I can make it so you place a spawn egg and a chest appears in which you can choose a structure out of many, and yes you can help with the structures because I'm not that good at building in Minecraft.

I have been working on a mine++ data-pack and i have implemented a quarry so maybe i can make a data-pack with some of the suggestions on this post.

make a use for rotten flesh
1
I've done this before but haven't posted it here, i can make it so you can smelt rotten flesh into leather.
Also maybe i can make a recipe for an undead staff of some sort.

vertical slabs

OMFG YESSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!! MAKE VERTICAL SLABS REAL BOIIIIIIIII YEEEEEEEEE

It's easy to say but to make a custom block that you can use in survival i need a block with the same hitbox that is already in the game.

Here's a twist: try to implement the more 1.16 features you can in 1.15.2 vanilla.
I know this must be very hard
I know this must be very hard

an improvements datapack with features that would be good for a future update:
woodcutter block that does for wood what the stonecutter does for stone
wood walls
nether wood boats
soul speed enchantment usable on boats, making them fastest in water
cobble from the stone variants
mixed cobble crafted shapeless from one cobble of each overworld stone type
stone/woodcutter recipe for a slab from a stair

adding to it, 2 more nice things to have would be
end stone walls, slabs, stairs (not from bricks)
prismarine brick walls

I would love a good "double jump" datapack.
perhaps summon a barrier_block under player for 5 ticks then despawn?
Not sure how it would be done. If they jump in air. I dont know but I believe this kind of function is needed in vanilla!

I think i can do it if for example the player jumps while shifting and looking directly up or down just reply with what do you want to be the trigger.
1
Nice, I would choose look "Down" as it seems less disorienting.
Are there any more triggers?
I have also heard of changing player gamemode to adventure, enable fly, then disable fly, back to survival mode.
Some plugins use the sneak button twice for a ground slam. I would not want them to conflict.

I know this is much and some of them don't make sense but maybe you would have some more ideas when you see what triggers I can add.
How much times the player has died,
How much players did the player kill,
How much mobs did the player kill,
How much mobs or players the player has killed,
The Players amount of health,
The players amount of xp,
The players amount of food bars,
The players amount of air when he/she is swimming,
How much specific blocks has the player mined,
Animals bred,
When the player eats a slice of cake,
Damage dealt,
Damage taken,
Items dropped,
When the player jumps,
When the player dies,
When the player mines a specified block,
When the player breaks a specified item,
When the player crafts a specified item,
When the player uses an item or places a block,
When the player picks up a specified item,
When the player drops a specified item,
When the player is sneaking,
If the player is in a specified gamemode,
players heads rotation

No problem that's great.
I like the idea of using xp or health as a fuel/currency/trigger.
The players amount of xp: (If xp is 15 levels or greater, can use)
The Players amount of health: (if health is lower than 10 hearts, cannot use )
It can be a feature a player must work for by gaining xp and keeping full health or a feature that works at all times.
I also like your approach with Jump/sneaking and players head rotation.
When the player jumps:
When the player is sneaking:
If the player is in a specified gamemode:
players heads rotation:
I will give this more thought!

I don't know if this is possible with data-packs but could you make one to make a compass point towards the nearest player. I know there are plugins that do this but as some server hosts don't allow you to upload .jar files but do allow JSON files it would be really handy to have a data-pack out there that did this. (btw am I correct that data-packs tend to be JSON files or have I got that wrong?)
1
I will try to do that, and no you're wrong data-packs are folders or zip files that you put in the world save.
Edit: Do you want all compasses to always point to the closest player or do you want a special KIND of compass that points to the nearest player?

I guess either would work but having a special compass pointing to a player would be better
