Are my packs gonna be laggy forever regardless?
I've been trying to fix the lag for 2 years by removing alot of unique features, minimizing the amount of cubes per mob, also encouraged people to use optifine alternatives, but i sometimes have complaints about lag, and one of those complaints have powerful computer specs and also used optifine alternatives
I dont wanna abandon my pack projects, but i dont think i can still get rid of lag even after sheer efforts, i even broke one of my packs that is supposed to be my flagship because i was trying to fix the lag, am i cooked from the start?

Could it be the subpacks? I dunno how much ram the pack uses when loaded, but even if a file isn't being used it's probably still loaded into memory.
You could make a neocities or something and have the subpacks downloaded seperately.

I usually extract out my subpacks/micropacks and then delete the one inside the main pack file before using the pack, in an addition of optifine alternatives, and that is what ive also replied to the complaints, though there are no updates about them yet, i really wish they reply
But from my experience with using my friend's high end computer just to test the lag, it still lags, and yes, i applied the statement above, but maybe thats because the more the mobs, the more it would lag, but it doesnt lag like that when i turn off the pack, my friend uses optifine alternatives
Maybe because of the renders, since im mainly complaining about my player model packs, the player model from my packs have an average of 18 default cubes, though, 18 is very few compared to most mob packs these days, so that might not be it
If it could be because of the amount of files, the first updates of my human player mobs pack has severely less amount of files, and i still experience lag from it, though, the lag was way worse than today's updates
I3, 8th gen, 8gb ram are thr specs of my dead laptop, but my packs aim to be less laggy with mid-range computers
Theres alot to unpack from my experience and alot of things to point, but for the sake of getting straightforward, i only typed the important info
