Honestly, after 1.8 the game stopped feeling like Minecraft to me. I still prefer playing older versions for the nostalgia.

Favorite mods, resource packs, or anything of that nature?

My all time favourite mods would have to be flans mod and clay soldiers LOL. They classics fr. My go to resource pack that I’ve always used is faithful 64x64 or 128x128. Some people don’t like it but I love the look. Optifine is also a client I aways use.

2012 was my childhood. Around that era has to be peak for me. Most servers were packed with players too. It was fun af. 2015 had a comeback for a lil bit too for me.

Do many life hacks you hear about actually work? Like the bedrock breaker or iron golem farm?

Most "hacks" usually get patched within an update or two. I tend to just play legit but yeah, as busterdogtnt said golem farms are pretty common.

golem farms are quite common, but Mojang has patched most bedrock breaker exploits.

The hardest thing for myself to grasp was definitely crafting, what class tools to use on blocks and don't even get me started on redstone. On creative it was pretty easy tbh, i mainly started playing that as soon as it came live.

Definitely back in the day when I was a kid playing on a server my Uncle set up for myself and my cousins. We would build the most ugly ass buildings but at the time we thought they were great. I would spend hours on that server, before school, after school and on the weekends wasting time. My proudest build was a giant wood square that took a month to build. It pretty much covered two chunks and the shadow it cast was huge. It was such an eyesore to look at but it was the time and effort that made it have a place in my heart. I also enjoyed going on minecraft.net and playing in the web browser on those shitty servers where your stuff would always get griefed by someone in 1 minute after building it, but it was so fun and I will never forget those memories.

One of my favourite versions of minecraft has to be 1.2.5, as this was the version when I really began to grasp the game in survival and discover lots of large public servers. It was also simple enough to understand, with basic redstone items and basic blocks, which could be used in different ways to build and decorate, instead of having hundreds of blocks that barely get used like in the current versions today. Another version close to my heart has to be 1.7.2, as this was a time when myself and my friends started playing the game again, and began playing minigames on servers such as Hypixel and CubeCraft. I'm not sure if its cos I'm getting older but every time a new version is released, the games starts to become more and more confusing. I wish Minecraft stayed more simple, much like it was back in the earlier days.

To be honest, its all down to personal preference and what you want to do. I personally love playing survival and hardcore as I've never been that good at building, but creative is great when you want to plan a house out or practice your building skills :s.
