I don't make smoke art, so I can't really tell you how to improve that.
It's definitely very vivid though.
Maybe incorporate other objects.

Too much contrast. Think about placing a light source and how that will affect your image. The image is lacking in value making it flat and unrealistic.

yes try and get more light on that green to make it pop. the colors are a bit dark.
I also HIGHLY recommend getting yourself some editing software. Gimp is free. It will let you do a lot to your pictures, and since your dealing with bright colors on a black background there is lots you can experiment with. Even just the curves tool in gimp can give you hours of experimenting.
Here is my edit using the curves tool in gimp. brightened up the purple and green. Took maybe two minutes to download, edit, upload.
