Enchanting Problems... HELP D:

So I was made this creative world and gave myself a bunch of xp and set down a enchanting table. for about 20 minutes straight I tried again and again to get Silk Touch on my Diamond Pickaxe. But all that was coming up was Unbreaking and Efficiency.
I then downloaded a mod to show what the enchantment was instead of the symbols. They all said Unbreaking and Efficiency. and when I put anything in the table it only goes up to level eight. I tried over and over again too.
Am I doin something wrong?

Okay Now a new problem. haha
I did that and I click on the enchant and it crashed :/

Try placing bookshelves near the table.

Try placing Bookshelves by your enchanting table.They usually make the enchantments better I think, though they make the Experience cost higher.
