Ever wanted your own Minecraft MMO Server?

Hey guys, as the title says,
Has any of you ever wanted to run and manage a Massive Multiplayer Server?
Do you think that you are ready and have the capacity for it? I think that I have the capacity to run and manage one, I'm currently trying to make one. We are releasing our gameplay content and a new map in a few days, so we haven't really promoted the server yet, and we already have 600 members on our forums.
If anyone wants to see my server, ask me. The reason why I dont post them in this post, is just because this isn't to promote my server.
This topic is about if you want to run a server with at least 200 players on regularly.
Would you, or would you find it stressful or too much to handle?

that might be a bit much for me to handle, but I'd hope that if its whitelisted you can at least keep the riffraff to a minimum so it can get a little mellow and let you play.
I'm trying to open my server up to some more people who just want somewhere to chill since I'm not playing during the day when I'm supposed to be working -

I feel like I could handle 200 players on at one time.(if my server could handle the lag) But I would just need a good staff that I could trust. So I think it is possible but I don't do that because my server does not have that many people on regularly.

I can understand you, but I am 17 years old, and have school. Meaning that I can only work during the weekends. I used to work in real life but that would get me like 25 euros / 30 dollars a week.
Now, Im getting 20 euros / 30 dollars a day thanks to Minecraft, so I resigned at my real life work and doing Minecraft Server management
And yes, now I'm trying to make a Minecraft MMORPG Server to increase my income even more because It's really awesome to make a job out of your hobby.

Minecraft, your job?! I'd get a real job, just to have a safeguard.

A sever with 20 people on all the time should get like 75 euros / 100 dollar a week.
I'm currently hosting another server, which isn't that successful but it still gets around the 50 players during the weekends. Thanks to that server, however, Minecraft has become my job and my income rely on the dontations

i own my server but its just for me and my friends... but i did used to be co-owner on a server that had about 20 peopleon all the time... it was great. until the owner couldt afford the hosting and he just closed it. i used to play on it 7 hours a day. <3 but i would love my own

I think after everything is set up you could go mellow.
