Alright.. so the story starts when i create a new single player world and spawn in an NPC village..
So im just walking around, grabbin some wheat and wood and chicken , i choose a house and make a little farm for my pet chicken.
It was really late at night, and i realized i forgot to go mining for atleast some coal.
So luckily there was a torch there. I opened my chest to store some things then.. suddenly.. the torch broke. I exit out of my chest and turned around and the torch was back where it was.. so i was a little shocked.. but i made a bed and went to sleep. When i wake up i go out to grab more wheat and i go back home, my pet chicken is gone. But it didn't de-spawn, because there was a feather and peice of chicken on the floor. I left the world, i don't think i'll ever go back on though.
This is REAL 110%. It happened to me yesterday. Also, my world was SINGLEplayer. Any thoughts on what happened? A little freaky for me

Herobrine could be on his own client and thats why people can't find definite proof in their own clients.
Did you know if you spawn a npc with the citizens plug-in named Herobrine it has the Herobrine skin?
Anyway your ghost is probably just a wall glitch But if it is a ghost maybe you should play on your single player world some more so you can report more stuff to us?

I've had several farm animals die in perfectly enclosed spaces, leaving their remains on the floor. It's probably just a bug where they get stuck in a block and suffocate. Some of my animals have managed to get through fences and solid walls before.
The torch breaking was probably just a lag glitch, or you lagged and accidentally punched it causing it to re-appear.
Also, Herobrine never existed - he isn't a hacker, he's a hoax. Someone makes a story, people are gullible enough to believe it and then get superstitious. A lot of games have their own ghost stories.

Sames happened to me and a few other players, we all pretty much agree that it's an extremley rare glitch, and/or it's a hacker that SOMEHOW managed to hack themselves into an single player game (that is what herobrine is speculated to be)

2. Fail in your quest
3. Sit in your Minecraft house and watch TV.
4. Hear a strange noise coming from the window.
5. HeroBrine breaks in through the window and this is the dialog *Strange noise*
You: "Whos there?" Mysterious ghost person: "HeroBrine." You: "No stay away!Sto-" He killed you and you respawn in lava.Then you respawn in the village but your house is gone.You were about to say stop but then he killed you in the quotes.

One time in 1.9pre2 before 1.0 was it something like this happened to me while I was making an 11 video :3
I had redstone torches inside a nether fortress and while I wa splaying with fraps running it looked like a redstone torch at the entrance broke off and while I was entering the same torch was back on the wall in the same spot O_o

i suggest this...
1. Delete minecraft.
2. go to run ( if you have it ) and delete the whole .minecraft folder
3. stay off minecraft for 2 days.
4. win of the damned get's you to not have this problem ever again!
