Recently playing on a server with friends A netherack shrine kind of thing appeared and when we lit it we were attacked by a person with no name. Later random signs kept appearing with messages like "stop" and "you will join me soon" then later we got messages from a player called Herobrine saying he was watching us, so I looked it up and as of yet havent found anyway to stop him just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

You are playing a herobrine mod or the herobrine plugin.
I use the plugin too, it makes temples, redstone torches and signs that say exactly the same thing. And the netherrack thing does not appear, you build it to summon herobrine.

lol herbrine. i remember my brother playing minecraft then finding a cave with almost perfect stairs goin down. at the end was a room with torches and a door. plus a chest with two iorn ingots.

I think that was a mineshaft, not a cave. That would explain why he found a chest.
