How to change texture packs?

I was trying to download a cool texture pack i saw, so i downloaded it and put it in the correct file for minecraft, and when i clicked 'open texture pack folder' , it was there, but nothing happened... It didnt pop up on minecraft underneath default or anything... Is there something else i have to do? But the wierd thing is, last time i downloaded a texture pack, i put it in the file and it appeared on the screen like normal! So why wont it work this time?! Plz halp meh...

you either need mcpatcher because it's an animated texture pack, or you're not installing it right. drag the .zip file into the folder. not the contents of the .zip

suggestion: instead of using MCPatchers just get optifine mod it will help a lot!

https://github.com/pclewis/mcpatcher/downloads use that link and then click download as zip on the top move it out of downloads onto the desktop and then let it anylze then click patch and try it out

have you tried deleting the tex pack from downloads? i had this issue a while back and this fixed it

make sure you have no mods in though when you do it or it will wipe them out

i dont have any mods and do i just google mc patcher?
