How do i get more fps without optifine?

A lot of people are saying they get 100-200fps and im only getting around 45. How do I boost my fps?

Why is everyone so hung up on fps? All it does is what your monitor can handle.
Most monitors are only 60 fps and no matter what your computer can do over that, it wont show up anymore than the 60 fps your monitor can handle.
Some expensive monitors can do 120 fps though your eyes can only see up to about 70 to 80 fps and any more is a waste of your money.
In your MC Client's settings adjust your maximum frame rate to your monitor (Usually 60 fps) and/or Use VSync: ON which will sync up to the maximum fps to your monitor anyway.
The only thing that may help low fps more is a good gaming GPU with enough extra ram, only then the optifine settings may help get much better fps.
Yes 45 fps is healthy to run Minecraft on and you wont see much difference up to the 60 fps most monitors use.
There are better things to worry about than trying to see something move 200 times in a sec.

Don't get laptops they're not as good as most of the cheaper ranges of desktop PCs...

I am not sure why you should instead get Optifine. With 45 FPS range and optifine, you can exceed up to around 80 FPS. People who have more than 100 FPS may have a gaming laptop. If you want a gaming laptop, get Alienware. Yes, it costs alot, but it has enough RAM to play any kind of game needed to play.

45 FPS is good, everything beyond 29 FPS is good

If you want the best option, it would be a new computer :p It doesn't take much to run Minecraft, just spend a little.
