Default tex size and no mods. around 100. Buuuuuutttt I love playing with as many graphics enhancing mods as possible =D... so usually between 30-50

The max i have ever had is 163, i average around 60 though. When it rains my brother lagged out a 1 fps lol it was hysterical

Usually 5-30 on this computer... sometimes my laptop will spike all the way up to 70 or more, but then it becomes stupid again and goes back down to 10. :c

My GTX 560 TI runs minecraft really fast, but i also dedicate 2gbs of ram to java

Lets see no mods or anything render tiny fast and max fps about 20 (my computer is really really old this caveman told me about it and i found it intesting so he gave it to me)

It can't be too old as it is able to play minecraft.... well I have one that likely couldn't even play minecraft, it can only get a max of 512mb of ram, and only has a 755MHz of processor...

I guess the only downside to macs aside from price is well price.... everything is pricey.... software is pricey... well software that isn't normally for makes is usually pricey for it. I do like the finder function on makes, works better than the search tool on windows. Granted I got mine with some discounts for college so it wasn't as pricey as it could have been.

I'll be honest though, I use a mac.... sure more expensive for getting less than what I could have gotten with a pc, but meh, it like how stuff in macs are set up. That being said, a month after I got my mac,... a newer version of the same laptop I got was released.... the newer one could have 4G of ram, had a nVidias graphics card integrated into it, and had about 2.5 or 2.7 of processing speed. Made me angry to say the least.

That happens all the time , the new 3DS, everyone will get one but give it 6 months and Nintendo will leak a blog or tweet about a new product no I totally agree, Macs, in my opinion, have a much better GUI than Windows, I prefer "fancy simplistic" rather than the XP simplistic, but Macs would frustrate me because of the wait for certain software etc

I get around 30 to 40 fps normally, because one I only have a gig of ram, and second my graphics card is a integrated one that is neither a nivida or geforce.

GeForce is nVidias card range, just like ATi Radeon, your integrated can't be that bad if you're hitting 30-40

I dunno, its actually some intel integrated graphics card... well its not to bad at least, but I know I won't be able to play anything above 32x resolution though without some major lag/fps drops.

well average for me is 5-7 fps and i get double/triple block placing and 1fps when i try to build big projects :/

Don't use Fraps, go into the game and press F3 then look up in the top left corner like so (ignore the uMad text, it was to annoy a friend ):

I do however have 8192MB RAM allocated to Java/Minecraft (In the Java settings and in the Minecraft.bat I created) and I'm on a 2048x1152 monitor, I'm sure I'd get more if I made the window smaller . I need to get a new graphics card however to run some of these newer games at a higher FPS (currently have an ATI Radeon HD 4770)
EDIT: Saw what some people were doing, I'll try it

i get somewhere around 30-450 fps my average is prob 170 (no joke) with the mod that makes your fps work faster, i get average 100 and once in awhile 250

I forgot to resize the window so I did that and hit 466, I returned it back to it's original size, walked into a giant ball in the server and hit this...

make your screen tiny and turn everything on it's lowest and run it at highest process, and turn off gui and then hit gui and the fps button and take a screenie at the same time.

hit the button in between close and minimize on ur minecraft, drag the corners of the window to make it really small, make sure nothing else is running, use task manager and set the priority of minecraft to high, set all the video options to the lowest possible setting, put fog all the way up, encase yourself in blocks, look straight down, hit f1, wait a few seconds, hit f1 and f3 at the same time, and press f2 really fast to record a screenshot of the epically high framerate.
