All you have to do is get MCedit and download SethBling's mob spawning filter. Easy?

You can use my mod, Craftable Spawners, wich allow you to obtain all the spawners from the creative menu or by crafting them =)

Again.....
sed11..............
1.Get winRAR or 7ZIP.
2.Goto start menu then type %appdata% then click roaming
3.Open .minecraft folder then bin folder.
4.Open minecraft.jar with winRAR or 7ZIP.
5.Drag contents from TooManyItems,ModLoader, and SpawnerGUI into there.
6.Play game...open inventory...select monster spawner from blocks on the right *If there are no blocks press the O button.*
7.Right click the spawner when placed then choose the mob it spawns.
You got yourself a non-pig spawner.
Or you could just install toomanyitems then after playing a world....exit go back to .minecraft and change the toomanyitems.txt by making the spawner the animal/creature/monster you want.
Btw this is for Windows idk how on a MAC its probably kinda similar though.
And after you install mods you can not play the browser version get the minecraft launcher from minecraft.net in the downloads section since modded minecraft.jars can only be played in the launcher.

Jut get single player commands... the official release installs the mod for you!!
Once you have it type in spawner (mob) while looking at the spawner

Where can you download MCpatcher?

What is the spc mod?
1
Single Player Commands
Make sure it's compatible with your version of minecraft though. I have 1.2.5 so my SPC should be also 1.2.5
ALSO! IF YOU WOULD GET MCPATCHER, you wouldn't have to worry about the minecraft.jar files and etc. Mcpatcher will do all of it for you.
Look it up!

You don't need to do any of that, just download the spc mod and it will bring up a java file that will install the mod for you.

I don't know how to select(copy) the files into minecraft.jar on WinRAR, though. Last time when i tried to install the files i stopped so i wouldn't mess up any files...

TooManyItems mod.
Create shortcut on destop to TooManyItems notepad file
when you want to change the spawner simply,
go into notepad file
find Spawner:
Put mob next to spawner (Spawner:Villager)
Go back into minecraft (Minimized)
Bring up creative or survival menu (E) and boom, you changed it.
For me this takes less than 10 secs. making it easy to create challenging combat situations in my quests.
Also get Mcpatcher if you want mods to change spawner. Look on youtube for help.

Single player commands mod.
It has a command that turns the block your mouse is on into any spawner you want.
Ie
/spawner Creeper
places a creeper spawner

Just get technic launcher and install Tekkit with that. Im not sure if tekkit does have mob spawner GUI but technic launcher will automaticly download tekkit and other mods aswell.

If you're using Toomanyitems, there should be a notepad file where it has this:
enable:true
enablemp:false
itemsonly:false
give-command:/give {0} {1} {2} {3}
key:o
save-name1:1
save-name2:2
save-name3:3
save-name4:4
save-name5:5
save-name6:6
save-name7:7
save1:
save2:
save3:
save4:
save5:
save6:
save7:
spawner:Villager
include:
exclude:
The one that says spawner is where you can change the mob you're spawning, mine is set to villager right now. (Capitalization and correct spelling is a must.) Hope this helps you out. Notepad name is TooManyItems and is in your .Minecraft folder.

Hope this helps,
