How do you make a mod?

I have little experience with modding. I only just barely learned how to install mods. I've been looking for some mods that make more pets and types of animals, or maybe tameable dragons. I found a few, but none of them are 1.11.2, my forge version. I'd like to try to make one. I have little experience with code, besides making a circle move across the screen with JavaScript. Please help me.

TayTayKitty07, first, you have to get familiar with Java, then you have to download the required files and do some tutorials. Mr. Crayfish's tutorials will do, but it will take a long time, especially without any previous coding experience.
