Really laggy. I do not know why because the pre released versions were not so laggy.

i dont have the issues

When this update was revealed I was sure I was not going to like it, but then I finally got around to playing it and I've been having a blast. the new villager mechanics are really interesting to work with and if you play your cards right and have a big enough sugar cane farm BAM! infinite emeralds! my main gripes with it however are that A: my iron farm is dead. And B: how to put this lightly..... THE TEXTURES SUCK
Oh and the game can't render crap anymore

I really like it! I hear a lot of people don't like the new textures but personally, I like most of them, the game on a whole feels more thematically congruent.
Though, specifically in terms of new features, I really like the new village generation! It's a lot more structured and they just look better with the updated buildings. I find the new process of village generation p interesting as well with the new jigsaw blocks.
Out of the new blocks, I think the stonecutter is one of the best additions, especially now that stairs only take one block to make.

Ignoring the bugs and onto the main features , probably adding more defense to Villages to defend against Raids. Iron Golem's are cool and all but the way they're spawned they're still no match against an army of illager's- especially with an Ravenger

It's good to know that 1.13 stuff still works in 1.14. (commands and things) I don't really need to know much command-wise, which is pretty cool for a datapack-creator like myself.
2
Pretty good I say!

1.14 has become modded minecraft

*Better* minecraft

Chunks loading are extremely buggy right now but besides that, I love this update. Probably my favorite since 1.7
3
It's great. Don't get why some people are whining. I mean, beside slow chunk loading; I get that. Updates are for updating the game to make things better; no matter what they change, it's probably gonna be for the better.
Only thing I would change is making villagers with professions spawn with spawn eggs. It's really annoying when you're working on a resource pack and you can't easily check a new texture.

honestly, one of my most favorite updates.
I just wish that it would stop having memory issues for servers.

I like the new textures, and I enjoy the new block.
Buuut I'm waiting for all the plugins I use on my server to get updated before I sit down and get really into how 1.14 is.
But from what I've played so far, yeah I enjoy it :D

The update itself is great. But the bugs and glitches ruins it especially chunk loading

Overall, I kinda like it. At first I was put off by the amount of new stuff that people were putting in, but I do actually like some of the stuff they introduced, like crossbows and having traveling villagers and the like. It was also cool that they had those traveling bands of pillagers too, since that can add extra challenges, which I like. I don't really like that they added in a bunch of extra crafting stuff tho, like stonecutters and looms, since it just doesn't feel very necessary. The crafting table serves its function fine, we don't need to add in more stuff. Tbh really the only thing I'd change is having the crafting table serve as the primary crafting thing again because I think it served its job perfectly well.

You're welcome to have your own opinions.
But a lot of people ASK for the things that mods offer, so they ADD them.
The textures have been a work in progress for MONTHS, with the artist taking feedback and changing it based on feedback, which EVERYONE had a fair chance to give feedback on. Minecrafts textures are still true to the classic, just improved .
You don't like it then don't use it, you can still have the old ones. Which btw werent even designed by a real artist, its developer art.

Its really nice update i like it especially pandas and foxes

The chunks not showing up is annoying... Other than that, I like the update.
4
The chunks thing would be a nice thing to fix.
5
i love 1.14 but they really really need to optimize the crap out of it and fix the one thousand bugs the new release has.
2
I like it, but a few of the textures are bad. Most are awesome though.
2
You can change back the textures, as they added a seperate resource pack for the "vanilla" feel
2
I know, but it is only like two or a couple more textures that I don’t like.
4
So far enjoying it (besides the annoying chunks)
Although if I were to change one thing...
Well, let's just say villagers stealing your bed.

I'm enjoying it thus far, just the chunk loading is annoying, and villager's pathfinding isn't too great, they keep walking back and forth and spinning in circles. I enjoy the new blocks, no longer will I be forced to make more blocks than I need, picking up the pointless enchanted items in the end is kind of beneficial now, and banners aren't as annoying. I think Jappa's done a really good job with the new textures so far. I like all the new blocks, I'm using them all already, and now you can make themed areas of your base for the new workbenches! Though, as cons, I think the composter is generally worthless, and bamboo isn't all that great. Now maybe being able to place bamboo sideways, or make bamboo blocks, that might make them more interesting
4
i hate it. its laggy even on a good GPU with minecraft settings at the lowest, chunk generation is horrible and i hate the new textures.
2
Really? My graphics card is literally the minimum system requirement and it runs fine.
1
my gpu is ok and its fine i havent had any problems with it
5
I’d stop adding useless things to MInecraft. Just stop. The more you change, the less “vanilla” it feels. (Unless it’s height limit increase or bug fixes)
2
Less vanilla? Vanilla Minecraft, no matter the version, is "vanilla." You mean the vanilla you grew up with.
5
I'm not sure how I feel about all the new blocks (such as grindstone, barrels, composter etc.).
Although Villages had previously long out-lived their usefulness to a player in a Minecraft world, some of these new change feel like I'm playing with a mod instead of simply just vanilla Minecraft.

I absolutely love 1.14. the only thing I would change is the netherrack! hurts my eyes hahah
2
you'll get used to it
6
You can't "change" this, but I'd make the chunks less glitchy.
2
yes you can, just optimize the code.
2
How?
2
yeah i agree
