Minecarft 1.7 The Update That Wrecked The Game
Hey Guys Im Just Posting to See You Guys Point of View On The New Update 1.7. I Personally Think It Was A Waste Of Time Really. The New Blocks And Stuff Are great But I Mean Every Update Has Been Making The Game LAG Like Crazy And This One Has Made It Worst.
I Think Before They Update The Game With More Stuff They Should Work On Making The Game Run More Faster And Fluently Instead Of Adding New Items And Stuff They Should Work On Making The Game Run Better.I Would Like To See In The Next Update That They Are Working On Taking Away Most Of The Lag I Know They Cant Take It All
Out.
This is Just My Opinion Of The Matter And I Would Like to Hear .Your Point Of The View If You agree With me or Not.

Just tells me you need to upgrade your computer. Hate to say it, but things do upgrade over time. Its inevitable. Heck, get Optifine if you need too?
1
enderblawki like it. plus it added a whole bunch of stuffz in the super secret settings. i like to call one mode "drug mode" as it SPOILER ALERT(scroll down to see it.)
plus, cmon man it adds horses and nametags (item) how could you not?
.
Horses? Nametags?
Where the Nether have you been? 1.6 is long gone

markslyer456Smasher200um.... yes they do lets just say they make a update where mountains can go up 200k blocks into the air (they won't just for an example) then that would add lag to the game don't care how good your computer isperfectstranger1I Dont mean to be like one of them people im just trying to get a point across that they should work on making the game run faster and more fluently
Your game running slowly is just your problem. Updates don't slow down the game.
no they dont. seriously guys if you dont like it dont play it. CUZ ITS GONNA HAPPEN.
the ONLY, AND I MEAN ONLY, thing that adds lag is the super secret settings. and its not even for the game.

There's like 15,000 update complaint threads! Do they need to write the same thread that many times?!?!

Don't worry. In posts like these, a mod always comes locks them soon
1
aman207Not another one of these threads....
Man if you don't like it, don't play it.
You people post the same thing every update. Watch 1.7.3 will come out with some bug fixes and then people will be likeNothing even changed
That is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS. They come out with an update, people hate it. They complain about lag and bugs and lag and bugs and then when the next update that fixed stuff comes out, they say 'Nothing has changed what the heck!' People complain with EVERY single update, that it 'ruined the game' or something. People assume that every time it updated it gets laggier, so they make themselves believe they are lagging a lot more.
1
I feel like the new blocks were a bit of a waste..
1
ehh, very untrue. It is a great building update. I am not satisfied with the default textures but never use default anyway. It is good for texturepack makers, they will def add even more great blocks to the game.
1
PobenIIIThe human eye and its brain interface, the human visual system, can process 10 to 12 separate images per second, perceiving them individually.
Anything faster than that makes no difference, in theory.
I myself find that after 30fps, it becomes no more fluid whatsoever.
If your computer can't support 30fps, I would advise against playing games on it until it has seen a specialist.
1
Ahhh, couldn't read it with each word capitalized!
1
I personally doubt that 1.7 in general is any laggier. I see complaints every single update with a lack of reasonable proof to go along with it, and sometimes people just start freaking out because apparently major updates = lag. There can be slight fluctuations as there are blocks the game has to deal with, but all in all it shouldn't be something worth making a thread about.
1
I don't know why but it lags more for me on the 1.7 than the 1.6 down updates. Idk just saying.
1
I'm so annoyed how The Hive hasn't updated it's servers to 1.7.2 yet.
1
I am enjoying 1.7.2! i see no problems what so ever about it
1
Although I would normally agree with your message, 1.7.2 has proved to be the exact opposite for me.
I would normally run about 30-40 fps in 1.6.4 (70-80 w/ Optifine), now in 1.7.2, I get 60-70 w/o any mods to boost performance. Though perhaps that's just my computer.

Well, it kind of depends on your computer, it's not Minecraft, it's you. :/
1
I don't care about lag, at least I can play minecraft (and it's not that heavy either, just 10 secs when loading in the begining)
1
I like it. I like the new flowers and the new woods, they are going to greatly enhance building. I just wish they would allow us to dye chickens! How cool would that be?
1
Man I wanna play this new game Minecarft.. who wants to join me?
1
I haven't updated minecraft since 1.5.2.
I like the quiet. No big horses thundering about in MY world!

dude if u lagging bad then get a better computer when i play it runs very smooth its not the update nor game its ur computer specs i say its time for you to upgrade your computer or laptop
1
I have mixed feelings as many things are improved but many longstanding issues have yet to be addressed..
1
unfortunately it probably is lag, unless you have just got a new computer. I have been playing since just before jungle biomes were added and my computer has always been laggy, no matter what version I was playing on
it would be nice if mojang could fix it but they can't fix our computers by updayting minecraft.

This is kind of my perception of people that complain about Mojang adding new content to a game they only made you pay once for.
The version-changing feature was implemented for a reason. Please use it.

all spam mojang's email with "You should make minecraft lag less"
1
You do realize that Minecraft needs to have a certain amount of RAM in order to run. It is a game. Either deal with it or go.

Useless stuff? Why does that matter? This game is a sandbox game.
That made my day.

After *Trying* to read this irl i literally scream-whisper Owwwwwww''
But 1.7 is awesome no lag here. But... I get like, 149 fps so... dun matter really.
1
Lag?
It seems faster than 1.6 for me.
Also, lag actually depends on the computer.

Very true, lag is because of your computer. And it's a sandbox game dude. Why does that heckin' matter? Build whatever you want. (not talking to you sed11)

Dear the Author-
Why you make Minecraft Minecarft in this?
With cheese regards,

LOL JUST NOTICED TOO
1
The game is a LOT faster if you have a decent or good PC...
If you have a bad PC that only ran about 15-25 FPS then it will lag PRETTY badly. It ruined a lot of the community and since they added so much it's going to mess with a lot of the mod makers and bukkit by a LOT!

It is not because of the update. The update has so much stuff, for your computer, it makes it lag. Same with servers, your computer can't take much, so it lags. It's not because of mine craft.

Clearly most of you guys are what we would call "n00bs". First off,
the Minecraft team has been fixing bugs and performance issues since the game was first considered (So don't bother saying thatthey haven't)
Here is a long list of fixes, that have made our lives easier.
So.. you were saying something about them not fixing bugs? ^
Also, you do not need to make a new world when you update to 1.7. You can just as easily use the same world as before, update to 1.6.4 (And render your chunks), then update to 1.7. Any new chunks will use the new biome generation code.

I would love it...If I could play it without it freezing.
1
minecraft being really laggy is majorly based on your computer for me i get more fps then i did in the other updates with optifine so i dont see what you are complaining about
1
get a pc then....
1
I think this update is one of the best, it restored my interest in Minecraft. For me the game runs faster(without the use of Optifine) and the content has made me enjoy gameplay. And if you don't like changing your world, then stay on 1.6.2 and keep playing on there, it's not that huge of a problem. And you should've known the update was coming out, it's not like Mojang blindsided you with a sudden update, you should've just known that either you would have to explore your previous world further or make a new one. So what.
1
I can't even run the game anymore, it's ridiculous, and I can't play 1.6 because it tries to update automatically every time. I also think the update itself was kinda stupid, I mean, getting rid of roses? I'm not impressed, Mojang. Stop cranking out updates so quickly, the Minecraft community isn't going anywhere.
1
The 1.6 launcher has the ability of adding and changing profiles. all you need to do is create a new profile, go to edit profile and set the version selector from latest version to 1.6.4, or whatever you want to play.
1
Ah, problem solved. Thanks!
1
Yeah.
1
I agree that roses shouldn't have been deleted. They were a nice decoration :/
However, mine isn't updating automatically. I'm not sure why yours is.

But really, if the game is lagging then it is your computer's fault, not Minecraft's.

I hate 1.7.2 because you will gonna need to create a new world for your server just because of these freaking chunks. Is it really so difficult for mojang to make it not mess up worls after each update? I do not want to abandon all of stuff i made on my server and moving it to new world is pain in ass.
