Minecraft bedrock server
I'm wondering what a good computer to use for a Minecraft server would be, the site that has the bedrock server software says it's an evaluation version, so it's probably too soon to make a permanent Minecraft server with it for home use.
but wouldn't this do the trick?
it has a quad core processor that has a 2.8ghz turbo boost clock and a 1.5ghz base clock.
and supports up to 8gb of RAM.
What's even better is there will be an Ubuntu version of the bedrock edition Minecraft server software
so free OS's will be usable for this type of setup.

8gb of ram is alot, so that is not the problem nor is the processor, i can run a server with my duocore and it still works (with lag).
so i think you will beable to make a bedrock server. just make sure you dont get hacked ok?

The problem is the software is still in alpha stage, so doesn't have the cross platform features realms and regular free multiplayer does yet.
Because of this, this is inaccessible by anyone playing from a Nintendo Switch. Not exactly practical for long term use if it's just going to end up being inferior to the subscription based realms service. I think I better wait until the bedrock server software is more refined before I make a decision on this one.
