No More Texture Packs!!!??

In 1.6, there will be no texture packs but instead, resource packs, which allow other sounds for each thing you do. This is really sad for me because I just made my own texture pack. How do you like this new idea? Do you like this idea more? When 1.6 comes out I HAVE TO find one where when you break diamonds or any ore, Morgan Freeman says something AWESOME. Don't believe this? They arent removing them.They are just renaming them and ading sounds,lol

I'm not a troll, it's not a joke, yes they will still be able to change textures, but what I meant was, all the texture packs that you have made are now wasted unless you stay under 1.6

if you already have the textures, just do some converting (whatever it may be)

Resource packs are basically texture packs version 2.0, if I understand correctly. They will not only allow you to easily install new textures, but also new sounds, and possibly more (maybe even models, though don't quote me on that).

They will have new sounds that you can add and textures, so yes.

I have never heard anything of this, and I think it is a joke. And if it is realy true, Resource Packs will ALSO have textures inside.
