Multiplayer survival
I find that when we have a multiplayer server we ofter /give and just build.
If anyone can set up a server I propose that we (as many as possible) start a new map with nothing and survive as a team.
Lets give Minecraft multiplayer a challenge again

I love servers like that. Just a plain team work survival. :3

How about fallout survival?
It would take a mod, a world made only of that flint sand, and cobblestone mostly, and theres few trees. and there's ruined buildings and peple live in fallout shelters. Mobs are on.

hmmm ~ modding. and I'm thinking about the boss being the instance master - would be me in my instance, get it? you have to fight your way trough some puzzles and mobs to face me and hopefully kill me.
(actually starting to really like this idea ... this will happen, with lots of redstone stuff)

I'd totally be up for a PvP or PvE server. If someone gets this going, count me in. Actually, if someone gets this going, can you tell me how you did it for my own reference?

yeah actually, Instance does sound pretty epic, How do we get giant slime?

Was more of thinking to raid eachother (only when the raided ppl are online, would make no fun otherwise). Also you just could build instances. Making a boss would be hars though. Hmm an instance is a nice project idea (starts brainstorming)

lol at what minecraft has to offer in the way of instances though, A green mossy cobble stone room with some loot

maybe someone else can host the survival server... I'd do this but I'm still not home. Also I have no clue how stable it would be. (I'd also strongly encourage group forming and raiding on my probably soon to be improvised server)

I would play since I'm getting a little tired of free building :O

I'm in, Ima survive like it means my life.
1
I'd be up for it if it were to eventually happen... it would certainly be quite interesting to see what could be done with it!
1
ah fair enough, besides people would lose the work they have done already

well that brings forth the question now, should i reset the server so we get a new map, then we get 20 mins to explore as much map as possible then i cover the whole thing in pine forest

If you make a seperate server for it.
I don't play minecraft to survive. I play minecraft to make a planet my bitch.
Wether i do it with others is of no consequence to me.

I am also intrigued by this idea, To be honest when it was harder it was better

i support thi idea. playing minecraft the rigth way just is a tad more challenging and far more rewarding. especially if you have a lot of people and maybe even start with two separate settlements and sometimes raid eachother - that would be fun and make password systems and such important. (grieving still would be a no go imo)
