It's a great idea, but I played it, and stopped after a short while because it got too annoying. Not that the adventure was bad, but the 1-block gameplay was too annoying :'D
I think it's a great idea, but maybe you'd want to create an adventure map where some puzzles or other parts of the journey will be a 1-block challenge :D

I think this idea of parts of a map being 1 block is really neat, and branching off your idea i reckon you could create a really cool vent maze or something like that. the 1&1.5 block mechanics are really un-valued and need some more looking into
