Hey!
As you saw in the title I need help creating a server. I watched a video on YouTube and i did exactly what it said

BTW i dont sponsor him but that is the video i used ) And i followed all the directions and when i finished i put the IP adress in and it said Server Is Out Of Date

seeing your not using spigot make sure your using the exact version ex.
1.8.0 doesn't work where as
1.8.1 does.
1.8.0 doesn't work where as

did you try to log into the server with another version? like 1.7?
