I want to make a survival server, but I want it to be unique. I've ran both a normal and a classic survival server in the past, and they have both done pretty well. I was wondering what you guys would prefer in terms of what Minecraft version it should run on.

By "Something else" I meant another Minecraft version. "Something else" survival isn't a thing lol.

go 1.11.2 and get spigot then download a plugin that uses 1.7 combat. Problem fixed bam

1.8 would have been on the list if that was what he was going for, bud. See the little text that indicates it as beta, not 1.8 :p

That wasn't the reason why I put classic survival on the list. I used to run a b1.7.3 server called 'NostalgiaCraft' that was on b1.7.3 because it offered a nostalgic experience for players who wanted to play Minecraft without recent Mojang updates.

Yea, considering that most people use the latest Minecraft version, I'd stick with 1.11 and apply updates as soon as new versions come out.

I suggest you run on 1.11.2 for now. Expect 1.12 in the near future though. PM me if you want me to help make the server.

the latest minecraft update. so it's 1.11.2 now, and when it goes to 1.12, switch to 1.12.
