As far as I'm concerned, this has never happened before.
Problems with it:
-The pistons shouldn't be updating at all.
-The secondary piston arm shouldn't be appearing
No, the redstone torch being on glass has nothing to do with it.
Edit: Made to fit screen.

I placed a redstone torch on the glass... and placed pistons around it.
If the pistons are already there, the bottom bit doesn't happen.
Additionally, this does not occur with lamps, and presumably all other outputs.

but how does that happen? it happened to me by copy and pasting pistons with SPC in 1.2.5 with paintball.
I've actually never seen it without. can you tell me how exactly that happened?
