I don't think any of this will happen, you're just basing this off of some Xbox games. They can't stop development of PS and Pocket edition just because it's been bought by Microsoft. Minecraft is going to be fine.

Many windows programs, like office, are for OS X & Linux as well, so why say no mac or linux.
