This is an error attempting the read a game file. Now I'm not sure about a mac but you need to check your read/write permissions for mac.

i think you messed with the src coding for minecraft client
1
i used like 3 different clients (my main one has a ram boost) and i have deleted my minecraft folder (.minecraft) many times. i also tried to downgrade. also on a different computer it didn't let me connect to any servers (bad login)
1
i dont know hgow to get to appdata on mac but go to %appdata% go to minecraft and delete te bin folder and play and it should re-download and if that doesnt work i dont know and if you do that it will take away all the mods and stuff you have and texture packs
1
Ok Wait till an update otherwise I don't know what to tell you...
1
none worked
1

God you're a jerk......

Geezus! noobs!
type in: %appdata% on your start button thing
then press .minecraft
then drag out all your saves from the "saves folder onto your dashboard
then go back and delete .minecraft
and then when its done, delete it from your paperbin and then run minecraft
(dont delete the thing (probably on your dashboard that says minecraft)
then type in your password and enjoy!
to get your worlds back:
go back into minecraft and mark the saves/worlds on your dashboardand drag them into the "saves folder! do not enter the saves folder when you drag it in!
stay on the .minecraft where it says screenshots and saves etc...
then enjoy a modfree, perfecly bug free minecraft!

I'm not programmer but I'm pretty sure downloading a new minecraft.jar by pressing Force Update will help if doesn't then you probably messed up something in your .Minecraft thougth I doubt that happened
1
Unpatch it in MCPatcher. That works, but if that doesn't click the force update button, that should work. Do some research if those don't work, But they should! Good luck and keep crafting!
1
I'm not a code guy, so I have no idea how to locate the problem is it's hardware of something, but try force updating your Minecraft and/or deleting the .minecraft and re-downloading.

when you open the login to minecraft on the launcher, click force update. It'll take away all you're mods but it should fix you're problem.
