Ok I ope i'm notthe only one who noticed this but the pre-release endermen are really zombies skined as endermen with a few black particles around them i saw one i sat and and stared at it for like 5 seconds but he didn't look back and when i looked away he didn't do anything and on top of that when i killed it it i just made the zombie death noise i mean are endermen really going to be this lame or is notch still working on it

I build my house on a small island. I stand in the shallow water and trick the Endermen to their death.

Well, Enderman do stare and chase after me when i look away. They will teleport if i'm at a certain range but the teleport is a bit buggy.

NPCs probably won't show up till the 1.9 release, along with mushroom biomes.
And BOY the endermen aren't finished yet. But they are funny when they steal your house piece by piece.

Its pre release! It was your choice to download a buggy incomplete pre release version. Just wait till monday.

Their not what I expected... The stare at you then teleport several times then when you're within a certain range they just walk into you, and teleport away when you try to attack. I was expecting/hoping them to be more like this.

ive seen videos of them teleing but they cant seem to move very well there all jittery

The Endermen do teleport in single-player. they work fine for me.
