Thumbnail size is only 100x it is easy to fix and easier to maintain. Just go into an image editing software/website and change the size or crop it. Takes very little time to use an image that is not yours anyway. Beggars can't be choosers.

it's not necessarily the size of the image, but the size of the file. If it's a jpg, open it into Paint.net and save it as a .png. I think images have to be under (155) kb.

3)In the Home menu, select Resize.

you can easily change the size of your picture by searching it in google and choosing a different dimension of it

what? only if it is stolen from there, not if he/she made one for himself/herself.
Then you need an image manipulation program like Paint.NET or Gimp, to resize the profile image

I would say just try and crop it into the size it is ment to be that is all I can think of
