It's a running gag. I'm pretty sure they knew that and it's obvious bait.

I had an encounter with Herobrine on a server for proof this was the server: The New Horizon. I know what i saw and i saw him typing in the chat.

I am sorry but Herobrine is not real Notch has confirmed this and people looked in the code of minecraft and there is nothing even related to Herobrine so there is no way he could exist in the game.

Herobrine has to be one of those I listed.

• 1, A scary story(?) made by some user for Halloween or something like that
• 2. A fake image made by a user to scare another user.
• 3. A modification (or mod) made by someone to make it seem real
• 4. A real user with a Herobrine skin. (This is certain)

P.S: I saw someone tricking his sibling about the Herobrine which is really himself.

Ok, so Herobrine is def NOT real, but there are other Herobrines that aren't actually Herobrine. There's also Entity 303, Norm, etc.. Most are hacks from fired Mojang programmers. They have appeared in a number of gameplays, live recordings, or even just innocent gaming. These mostly happen at 3:00 AM. We don't know how to destroy these hacks, so just play Minecraft at 3:00 AM unless you want to have your computer/console/phone crashed or possibly destroyed.

*Oh, and P.S., if you find a cross sign, turn off your phone/computer/console.

Herobrine was just a joke, Mojang confirmed it.

If the developers didn't add him, he couldn't have been a glitch, it's just impossible, just ask any computer scientist out there, they'll tell you it's impossible. If you really want to prove or disprove herobrine, the only way is decrypt the game's files and find herobrine's source code, and you can't prove his existence otherwise

Guys I looked through Minecraft code and theres no code about herobrine so he is fake.

actually the only way to proof Herobrine existence is that you see him yourself so even if mojang removed him people still claim to see him he remains a myth

I believe that if he is real then we will find out someday but in the meantime we should just enjoy the game. Most Herobrine claims were created with mods or photo-shopped.

Herobrine was never found in minecraft's code. BOOM! PROOF!!! Well, that is, unless they hid it in code that is unavailable to developers. It could be hidden in the game engine's libraries, which are probably obfuscated and packed very well. Herobrine could also be hidden in the same libraries that the login is in. In that case, it would probably be encrypted extremely well. You would have to hack the binaries to view that code, and that would be illegal. Dangit. Now I have no proof... I still don't understand why companies run some of their most valuable code on the client side, but whatever I guess xD.

Proof against Herobrine:
It is nowhere in the code.
Just decompile and look for your self.
There are so many modders, if herobrine would have been there it would have been discovered long time ago

Herobrine does not officially exist. any claim are lies, mods, hacks, or merely very long commands. However, the Mojang community never confirmed whether Herobrine is a joke (such as the name "Steve", suggested as a joke by Notch) or an actual entity.

Guys, I was playing Minecraft Xbox 360 and I was mining in an abandoned mine shaft
when suddenly I found a big room inside it. I thought it was Herobrine, so I asked my friends. They said that it's a Herobrine Zone and when you stay too long in it then Herobrine shows up. I found 2 of them and I was scared. My world was just fine in the overworld outside. I don't know if this is true or not. If you know what this is and if it's true, then please say in the comments if Herobrine is in my world or not.

I find it conclusive that every Herobrine vid I've seen has been a troll. So....

Side note: Herobrine is Notch's dead brother. He's a zombie gone wrong and a product of the Umbrella Corporation. Umbrella is part of the Illuminati (duh!). Herobrine and Notch are Illuminati. herobrine was first introduced on yt as a edit mojang liked it and it went farther to what we think today

I Think that Herobrine was just a hoax made by hackers of the coding of minecraft who could somehow rig peoples games, but then it caught on with internet trolls who then made fake sightings with that same hack. But the only question that remains is how this hack was made and where it is. This then caught onto the developers who joked with it saying "Removed Herobrine." So in conclusion HEROBRINE IS A HOAX.

No evidence of Herobrine has been found in the code by modders (the ppl at craftbukkit would have found him without a doubt)
