Like music discs or wool, where there's multiple variants to the same item.

But on this server they're not enchanted though. They're all iron swords - idk how they do it.

This server requires Optifine? If yes, then it's optifine custom items feature where you can apply multiple textures to one item basing on his name : )

I'm not an expert on the topic. But id think they're retexture the item when enchanted. So if the sword was normal, itd be a girl doll. But enchanted its a boy doll.
