1.81 seeds = pathetic

Now, I've been constantly spawning worlds and flying around in them to see if they were promising, and I was having trouble finding myself a decent seed.
Now, I realized something, 1.8 terrain generation SUCKS! Honest to god, 1.81 seeds are some of the most pathetic spawns I have ever seen. With 1.73 and prior, it would take me about 8 or 9 spawns and I'd find a really good seed, and sometimes, I would find the "perfect" seed, which was my map from 1.4 and forward. But now, it seems that you have to go through 20 or 30 spawns to find a good seed, and there is no "perfect" seed. I was also wondering if there was a mod to bring 1.7 terrain generation back, and if it means getting rid of ravines or those mineshafts, than I'm fine with that, because I just want a place to make a house without forests polluting the entire landscape, and stupid ravines cutting off the actually decent land.
Thank goodness they're bringing back snow biomes in 1.9, and this 1.81 crap is terrible. But still, I would like some good seed in 1.8, or a mod that lets you get 1.73 and prior generation back w/o backdating your .jar
If someone would leave me a reply, even if you're just saying "i agree 1.8 terrain sucks" I'd appreciate it.

You've got it completely backwards and wrong. It was 1.4 to 1.8 biomes which were pathetic collections of mountains with crappy, tiny biomes and lakes sprinkled in, and 1.8 biomes that are awesome, and 1.9 biomes, even more awesome because there is snow all up ons.
Seriously, I generated hundreds of maps during that era, trying to find one which wasn't crap. The one map which wasn't, only wasn't because it was mostly water (likely due to some fluke), with mountain poking out of it, of course.

1.9 gen is nice, I found a sick overhang and a ocean cove area. Giant bay with tall cliffs all around it. I am putting a shrine there when 1.9 bukkit is working.

It seems as though no one realizes you never spawn i the same place over and over. You will get the same world from the same seed but you wil spawn somewhere else. Coords are very helpful.

I completely agree with you. The Minecraft Alpha terrain generator is awesome. Beta 1.7 always spawns me near a lame beach and I don't like that. Beta 1.8 is worst because I am always spawning in these huge pine tree forests which i hate.

I started playing in 1.12, although I got into it in Beta 1.2, and it amazed me. I loved the awesome looking mountains and overhangs, as well as the creepy, dark caves that seemed to go STRAIGHT down
1.4 was when I was introduced to snow biomes for the first time, and it was amazing. From then on, almost ALL the maps that I considered "perfect" where snow ones.
And I agree with you whole-heartedly. The pine forests seem to pollute 97% of the damn map, and they're a pain to break down since they're so tall.

if you want a good seed try 012345678909876543210 for Extreme mountains right were you spawn!, or 0123456789 for mountains a small walk away from spawn

I understand what you mean, but I have no idea what your definition of a 'good' or 'perfect' seed is.

Good seeds for me are areas with a nice area of flat land, and I enjoy super-big snow biomes too, as one of my first maps from Beta 1.4 (when I started getting really good at Minecraft) was a snow biome, and I'll admit, I was amazed. The "perfect" seed has got a nice flat land, enough space to make a house and some farms, as well as a forest that is nearby, and some cave systems too. I know I sound finicky, but I've found a lot of maps like that.

Sorry you hate the patch? 1.8.1 is still in beta after all. Notch can do whatever he wants without direction until its a full game.

Snow biomes would be more fun if there was like realistic snow mountains and not just flatness, also those villages sucks, too many farms and that gravel is everywhere, the ravines are okay but they dont need to be too big

or you can download 1.9pre4 since 1.9 HAS snow biomes.

I thinks ravines are okay but yeah cutting through cool terrain sucks balls. Also i have yet to see an NPC village or a stronghold so that sucks. But the worst part is having no snow biomes. All in all 1.8.1 seeds = suck some big balls
