If servers were deleted, this is what will happen!
So! I saw a forum post in the last 20 posts area about: what if servers were taken down?
So this forum is the answer the question!
ALRIGHT!
If servers were taken down, usernames would be removed, yup you heard me! Because theres no point in them!
Atleast 25-45% of the minecraft players would stop playing Minecraft!
Microsoft/Mojang won't get money, money is important to keep a company going!
Minecraft will become one of those games online that no one will like and play anymore (example: Dummy Never Fails)
So yea! That should answer the question! Minecraft will become a failure....
Thanks for reading!

Okay, going to break this up a bit to answer certain parts.
Lessen this to 15-25%.
Now, the question is, like someone asked, was this thread important?

Actually, wrong.
1. Microsoft and Mojang both have other successful games that give them a good amount of money, if Minecraft was shut down, it'd only impact that a little.
2. They would loose a small amount of customers, said customers are into the servers, but there'd still be people buying for the singleplayer's Creative, Survival, and Adventure mode. (And whatever mode I may have accidentally forgotten) If there wasn't people who were in it despite it only being singleplayer, Don't Starve wouldn't be a popular game. And, on the plus side, they'd still be able to get mods, and some people are just in it for the mods.

False. There'd still be players who mostly either play maps, or just in general, singleplayer. There'd be buyers who are in it for the maps, or, again, in general, singleplayer. Or even the mods. Like I said before, if there wasn't people who were in it despite it only being singleplayer singleplayer, Don't Starve wouldn't be a popular game. Thus, making it a game people will like, and will play.

False, usernames would be kept. Assuming servers would include LAN, you still have the fact you need a username in order to:
1. Either be Steve or Alex, or any skin in general.
2. Log in.
Also, false again, I did not hear you. I cannot hear you. But I can read what you said.

what was the point of this thread?

or we can just play another game.

1) Usernames would not be removed, since they could still be used in Lan games or used for logging in to the minecraft launcher.
2) Recent data published by Mojang shows that about half of all players play on servers almost exclusively. just wanted to add this since I don't like people pulling numbers out their asses.
On a personal node, why does that thread you're referencing bother you so much?
Calm down dude.

1. If u know what LAN is, its a local server that only people in your internet could connect 2, so LAN is a server, if u read the title "If servers were deleted"

1. LAN is still a server and is apart of the multiplayer aspect.
2. How dare you I'm an active Dummy Never Fails player and still play today!

1. The Real answer is nothing would happen. It says all servers where taken down but people would easily either code around this or find alterative means of hosting.
2. You said servers not multiplayer there mate.
3. such single player games like skyrim have multiplayer mods.
