Introduction to this suggestion:
Hey guys. Dd here. I've been thinking about an idea, after seeing SO many questions and whatnot about how to make a server. My friend was having trouble himself. It's an idea that's similar to the LAN service, but it would work internationally. I'm not sure this will be looked at, let alone incorporated, but I was to see what YOU guys think. Here goes.

Player Private World Connection:
The name needs some work, sure. This idea would be similar to LAN, as I stated before, but it would work, to an extent, internationally. It would be a system of passcodes. In the options menu, maybe under, or in place of, the 'Open to LAN', button, there would be 'Open this World'.

Once you clicked that, it would go to this:

Open Private World:
[OPEN]
[CANCEL]

You could choose to either OPEN the world, or CANCEL, and go back to the main options menu.

If you pressed 'OPEN', then the screen would go to this:

If you click [OPEN]:
Player OP upon logging: [YES] [NO]
Default Gamemode: [SURVIVAL] [CREATIVE] [ADVENTURE]
Randomized Spawning: [YES] [NO]
If not. Spawn Coordinates:
X:_____________
Y:_____________
Z:_____________
Allowed to Chat: [YES] [NO]
[DONE] [CANCEL]

That would be a sort of settings menu for Opening the World.
Then, after you're done with that, and you click 'DONE', it will say...

Your world has been opened. If you'd like for others to join, please send them this passcode:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Then, your world would be open to those who knew the passcode. It would change each time.

NOTE: THIS WOULD NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF A SERVER, SINCE IT WOULDN'T SUPPORT BUKKIT

Each of your worlds would have a different passcode.

In the Server selection menu, instead of LAN, or underneath it, it would say...

Player's Private Worlds:
[ADD NEW]
[TEMPORARY CONNECT]

If you clicked 'ADD NEW', it would add a new player's world to your list of worlds.
If you clicked 'TEMPORARY CONNECT', you'd temporarily connect, but it would NOT be added to your list.

When you clicked 'ADD NEW', it would say this:

NAME:
_______________________________

PASSCODE:
_______________________________

Hide Code?:
[YES] [NO]

It would then be added to your list. If you chose to hide the code, the code won't be visible on your list.

If you clicked 'TEMPORARY CONNECT', it would say this:

PASSCODE:
______________________________

It would NOT be added to your list of worlds.

I doubt this will be incorporated into the game, but I think it'd be a good idea. What do you guys think?

Yes, maybe, if it COULD work. But even if it did, their hosts support Bukkit, while this, would not.

....but it can't work.

The thread title is saying "A suggestion for Mojang". Why in all hell would you make a suggestion if you knew it wouldn't work anyway?

Would Not Work. No Offence. It Would Cause WAY To Much Lag Every Were, Minecraft/mojangs Servers(Not MC Servers Actual Servers) Would Run Out Of Data Because A Bunch Of N00bs Woul Leave It On All Night Or DoSomething Stupid.

Plus: It Would Interfer With SO Many Regular Server Files And MC Files

If this concept worked, mojang would have put it in ages ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. LAN can broadcast only on your internet connection because thats the host. Every server needs a host. Thats the reason people still set up servers. Its rather complicated. Like I said, if it were possible to be this easy, it would be. The only way would be to host every multiplayer world on mojangs servers, which would completely overload them. They don't even have reliable login servers.

True. As I said, it's just a suggestion/idea. Thanks for taking a look at it, anyway.
