I don't know if anyone has thought of this, but is there a way to add a genetic algorithm and neural network to entities using functions so they slowly learn how to survive (passive and aggressive) and how to better kill the players (aggressive). That would mean every time they die a smarter generation would be spawning, and it would slowly get harder to survive. You could also use it for servers.

and if they were learning through a genetic algorithm everyone with the mod might get a different result when the mobs learn, because everyone has different fighting styles. The mobs would evolve with the knowledge of THAT person fighting style and if the mod was on a server then the mob would learn different fighting styles and MIGHT evolve faster.

Plugins that put powerful weapons in the server would help with that.

What if they just leveled up depending on how many days you've played? Seems like it'd make a cool plugin/mod. If I knew how to make plugins I'd make you it for free.

A mod doesn't limit you from adding it to a server and allowing anyone to go on ur server. The person would need to have the mod installed though.
