Texture Packs?

I was just wondering whats peoples opinions on texture packs. They get on my nerves. Never can find a good map without one. I pretty much only use vanilla because i like it alot. But whats yall's opinion?

I like Faithful 32x32 by Vattic.
Basically the vanilla texture pack, but HD and smooth looking. Really brings out Minecraft's true potential in texture.

I prefer the good ol' vanilla.
