I am going to show you my findings and proof that herobrine is real (or was real between the times of 1.6.6 beta and 1.2.5)
Before you read this, Read these topics:

http://www.minecraft.../wiki/Herobrine" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/136 ... ry16675483" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here are all my findings

Enderman had white eyes in minecraft beta 1.6.6

on 1.2.5, playing on Croatian language, when choosing a singleplayer world it will say in morse code above the worlds, translated it says "THE DARK SECRET BEHIND MINECRAFTS CREATION WILL BE REVEALED!" - Disproved, Community members take care of the language

This forum post also has some revealing info
http://www.minecraft...ft/page__st__60" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

read all the pages.

before the website went down, around the time of minecraft 1.3 someone found something in base64 progamming code, it said: TE9BRElORyBST0JPVFNUWFQgSU5GT1JNQVRJT04gRklMRS4uLiBJTklUSUFUSU5HIEhFUk9CUklORSBTWVNURU0uLi4gVEFSR0VUIE5FWFQgUkVMRUFTRS4uLg7
Translated it says: "LOADING ROBOTSTXT INFORMATION FILE... INITIATING HEROBRINE SYSTEM... TARGET NEXT RELEASE...""

this is quoted from a forum post on planetminecraft from user quickhakker:
Okay cus im on chrome too i did a bit of poking round the source code and found this
TE9BRElORyBST0JPVFNUWFQgSU5GT1JNQVRJT04gRklMRS4uLiBJTklUSUFUSU5HIEhFUk9CUklORSBTWVNURU0uLi4gVEFSR0VUIE5FWFQgUkVMRUFTRS4uLg7
= at the moment it looks like gibberish but i went on a website to translate code (http://home.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and found this out "LOADING ROBOTSTXT INFORMATION FILE... INITIATING HEROBRINE SYSTEM... TARGET NEXT RELEASE..."

the link to the forum post is here
http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/her ... must-read/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
there are also serveral other findings of this same code

here is the source for testificate.com before it was taken down

go ahead and copy this and paste it into this HTML testbed website: http://www.jmarshall.com/easy/html/testbed.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The code for Herobrine's eyes has been found in the 1.2.5 source, in EntityFootstep.class, only to be removed in the next update.

for proof, download mcp and look in the changelog, you will find a herobrine removal patch

I also noticed something, that the "note" first left on testificate.com after the livestream and the minecraft ending poem relate
they both tell the user to "wake up"

It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP.

I see the player you mean.
[Player Name]?
Yes. Take care. It has reached a higher level now. It can read our thoughts.
That doesn't matter. It thinks we are part of the game.
I like this player. It played well. It did not give up.
It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a screen.
That is how it chooses to imagine many things, when it is deep in the dream of a game.
Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen.
They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players witches, and warlocks. And players dreamed they flew through the air, on sticks powered by demons.
What did this player dream?
This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of fire and water. It dreamed it created. And it dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted, and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.
Hah, the original interface. A million years old, and it still works. But what true structure did this player create, in the reality behind the screen?
It worked, with a million others, to sculpt a true world in a fold of the [scrambled], and created a [scrambled] for [scrambled], in the [scrambled].
It cannot read that thought.
No. It has not yet achieved the highest level. That, it must achieve in the long dream of life, not the short dream of a game.
Does it know that we love it? That the universe is kind?
Sometimes, through the noise of its thoughts, it hears the universe, yes.
But there are times it is sad, in the long dream. It creates worlds that have no summer, and it shivers under a black sun, and it takes its sad creation for reality.
To cure it of sorrow would destroy it. The sorrow is part of its own private task. We cannot interfere.
Sometimes when they are deep in dreams, I want to tell them, they are building true worlds in reality. Sometimes I want to tell them of their importance to the universe. Sometimes, when they have not made a true connection in a while, I want to help them to speak the word they fear.
It reads our thoughts.
Sometimes I do not care. Sometimes I wish to tell them, this world you take for truth is merely [scrambled] and [scrambled], I wish to tell them that they are [scrambled] in the [scrambled]. They see so little of reality, in their long dream.
And yet they play the game.
But it would be so easy to tell them...
Too strong for this dream. To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
I will not tell the player how to live.
The player is growing restless.
I will tell the player a story.
But not the truth.
No. A story that contains the truth safely, in a cage of words. Not the naked truth that can burn over any distance.
Give it a body, again.
Yes. Player...
Use its name.
[Player Name]. Player of games.
Good.
Take a breath, now. Take another. Feel air in your lungs. Let your limbs return. Yes, move your fingers. Have a body again, under gravity, in air. Respawn in the long dream. There you are. Your body touching the universe again at every point, as though you were separate things. As though we were separate things.
Who are we? Once we were called the spirit of the mountain. Father sun, mother moon. Ancestral spirits, animal spirits. Jinn. Ghosts. The green man. Then gods, demons. Angels. Poltergeists. Aliens, extraterrestrials. Leptons, quarks. The words change. We do not change.
We are the universe. We are everything you think isn't you. You are looking at us now, through your skin and your eyes. And why does the universe touch your skin, and throw light on you? To see you, player. To know you. And to be known. I shall tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there was a player.
The player was you, [Player Name].
Sometimes it thought itself human, on the thin crust of a spinning globe of molten rock. The ball of molten rock circled a ball of blazing gas that was three hundred and thirty thousand times more massive than it. They were so far apart that light took eight minutes to cross the gap. The light was information from a star, and it could burn your skin from a hundred and fifty million kilometres away.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was a miner, on the surface of a world that was flat, and infinite. The sun was a square of white. The days were short; there was much to do; and death was a temporary inconvenience.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was lost in a story.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was other things, in other places. Sometimes these dreams were disturbing. Sometimes very beautiful indeed. Sometimes the player woke from one dream into another, then woke from that into a third.
Sometimes the player dreamed it watched words on a screen.
Let's go back.
The atoms of the player were scattered in the grass, in the rivers, in the air, in the ground. A woman gathered the atoms; she drank and ate and inhaled; and the woman assembled the player, in her body.
And the player awoke, from the warm, dark world of its mother's body, into the long dream.
And the player was a new story, never told before, written in letters of DNA. And the player was a new program, never run before, generated by a sourcecode a billion years old. And the player was a new human, never alive before, made from nothing but milk and love.
You are the player. The story. The program. The human. Made from nothing but milk and love.
Let's go further back.
The seven billion billion billion atoms of the player's body were created, long before this game, in the heart of a star. So the player, too, is information from a star. And the player moves through a story, which is a forest of information planted by a man called Julian, on a flat, infinite world created by a man called Markus, that exists inside a small, private world created by the player, who inhabits a universe created by...
Shush. Sometimes the player created a small, private world that was soft and warm and simple. Sometimes hard, and cold, and complicated. Sometimes it built a model of the universe in its head; flecks of energy, moving through vast empty spaces. Sometimes it called those flecks "electrons" and "protons".
Sometimes it called them "planets" and "stars".
Sometimes it believed it was in a universe that was made of energy that was made of offs and ons; zeros and ones; lines of code. Sometimes it believed it was playing a game. Sometimes it believed it was reading words on a screen.
You are the player, reading words...
Shush... Sometimes the player read lines of code on a screen. Decoded them into words; decoded words into meaning; decoded meaning into feelings, emotions, theories, ideas, and the player started to breathe faster and deeper and realised it was alive, it was alive, those thousand deaths had not been real, the player was alive
You. You. You are alive.
and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the sunlight that came through the shuffling leaves of the summer trees
and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the light that fell from the crisp night sky of winter, where a fleck of light in the corner of the player's eye might be a star a million times as massive as the sun, boiling its planets to plasma in order to be visible for a moment to the player, walking home at the far side of the universe, suddenly smelling food, almost at the familiar door, about to dream again
and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the zeros and ones, through the electricity of the world, through the scrolling words on a screen at the end of a dream
and the universe said I love you
and the universe said you have played the game well
and the universe said everything you need is within you
and the universe said you are stronger than you know
and the universe said you are the daylight
and the universe said you are the night
and the universe said the darkness you fight is within you
and the universe said the light you seek is within you
and the universe said you are not alone
and the universe said you are not separate from every other thing
and the universe said you are the universe tasting itself, talking to itself, reading its own code
and the universe said I love you because you are love.
And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love.
You are the player.
Wake up.

what Im trying to imply here is that maybe they made this all for us all to "wake up"

http://www.robotstxt.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think herobrine is some kind of web crawler.
"LOADING ROBOTSTXT INFORMATION FILE... INITIATING HEROBRINE SYSTEM... TARGET NEXT RELEASE..."

If some of you are too arrogant to read what is on http://www.robotstxt.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; here is a quote

Web Robots (also known as Web Wanderers, Crawlers, or Spiders), are programs that traverse the Web automatically. Search engines such as Google use them to index the web content, spammers use them to scan for email addresses, and they have many other uses.

On this site you can learn more about web robots.

About /robots.txt explains what /robots.txt is, and how to use it.
The FAQ answers many frequently asked questions, such as How do I stop robots visiting my site? and How can I get the best listing in search engines?"
The Other Sites page links to external resources for robot writers and webmasters.
The Robots Database has a list of robots.
The /robots.txt checker can check your site's /robots.txt file and meta tags.
The IP Lookup can help find out more about what robots are visiting you.

Here is a brief summary of what they can do
In a nutshell

Web site owners use the /robots.txt file to give instructions about their site to web robots; this is called The Robots Exclusion Protocol.

It works likes this: a robot wants to vists a Web site URL, say http://www.example.com/welcome.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Before it does so, it firsts checks for http://www.example.com/robots.txt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and finds:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /
The "User-agent: *" means this section applies to all robots. The "Disallow: /" tells the robot that it should not visit any pages on the site.

There are two important considerations when using /robots.txt:

robots can ignore your /robots.txt. Especially malware robots that scan the web for security vulnerabilities, and email address harvesters used by spammers will pay no attention.
the /robots.txt file is a publicly available file. Anyone can see what sections of your server you don't want robots to use.
So don't try to use /robots.txt to hide information.

dont you get it?

"LOADING ROBOTSTXT INFORMATION FILE... INITIATING HEROBRINE SYSTEM... TARGET NEXT RELEASE..."

ROBOTSTXT is robots.txt therefore he is a web robot!

jeez.....

Here is a post from notch, it is a bit detailed but all out it tells you he isnt real, but look at the bold words

I've publicly told people there's never been any such thing as Herobrine, and that I don't have any dead brothers, and that letting too many animals die in lava is a fool proof way to summon him but that you don't need to be afraid of him. He only means well, he's looking out for you, trying to warn you of the dangers you can't see. There certainly are NO physical manifestations of Herobrine that will sneak out of your computer if you leave Minecraft running at night, looming over you as you sleep with his pale eyes inches away from your face, as he tries to shout at you to wake up. Sometimes you wake up with a jolt, and he's gone, and all that lingers is the memory and faint echo of his wordless screaming. Of course it was just a dream. There's no way a morally dubious ghost with a god complex could at any point decide to haunt the children who play my game "for their own good", as there is NO SUCH THING. etc etc

That he is watching over you looking out for dangers you cannot see?

Around the time of 1.3 right before the website went down, there was a supposed text from jeb it said: We have just purchaced the domain testificate.com!
citation(s):
http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/her ... must-read/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6T7gEmZfwQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

after that, the website went down

If anyone with a bright mind can help, give me a shout

I will post future findings and updates here.

I honestly think it would be nice if he were in-game, and I found him, along with something like those ladders and redstone torches you see in some videos.
Ofcourse, it should be a certain mode, so people can play normally without 'HIM'.

Herobrine dosent place any redstone torches or structures, he rarely attacks, he dosent hold weapons, etc.

I said in videos....
Not like in the legend....
Although, he could be like in the legend too.
Code could still be trolls from mojang, code that's put in but some-how also programmed to not actually work or does work but hidden to where no-one can find what it does unless they actually look at the code itself.
And in that thread, he says something about Herobrine chasing the player and burning their houses and making structures.At the end, he says he doesn't personally believe in him.
The first Herobrine sighting was made before Endermen were thought of, so was the CreepyPasta.
But I already ended my argument......

Ok Hero brine came into the game when Jeb was planning minecraft not notch, and though can't program programming not to work without additional programming in the programming itself which would be obvious because it would totally counteract it self.

Well, I did say the minecraftwiki thing, and the code-stuff being Mojang trolling.
But if he does exist, then who cares, if he exists he exists, and if he doesn't exist he doesn't exist.
Simple as that.

Well, I've seen that video by d47g0n, and I'm pretty sure that was a joke, because of what Herobrine does at the end of one of his videos.
Enderman had white eyes in minecraft beta 1.6.6

Well, they were added in Beta 1.8, just before they decided to make them black/gray with green eyes then purple eyes they were all black with white eyes before release.
But, that doesn't show Herobrine exists, they could've gave them white eyes if he doesn't exist.

But he does exist as a Minecraft user, said so on minecraftwiki, yet the account owner is unknown.
If Herobrine does exist as a Web Crawler/Robot, and not a ghost, then why does this matter.
Afterall, he's just a CreepyPasta, and there are lots of CreepyPastas that are not true/none probably are not true.

Herobrine eye code is just a buggd code of the player...

and the dark secrets of Mineccraft will be revealed is just mojang trolling...

and like sed said, the end poem has absoulutly nothing to do with herobrine or any sightings... or mojang was just inspired by that specific hoax...

before you go posting these things, dont research on why herobrine esists, but also why he does not...

other wise, your aurgument is one sided and you cannot explaIn your holes and attempt to cover them up...

I think the MCForum Thread some-how proved he's not real.
That Forum Post link on this site is not a forum post but is actually a blog.
I'm sure everything you've listed that has to do with code is just trolls from Mojang.
That testificate site I think was a joke or something.
MinecraftWiki says he's not in the game and stuff.
The Livestream with the Wake Up note was admitted to be a hoax, the person running the livestream pranked the people or something with Herobrine, and they heard him talking to his wife or someone and told her about how he's trolling them, or something like that.They got angry, and so he faked a server crash, redirecting all users to a page with a Herobrine face except the eyes were replaced with real human eyes.
The End Poem has nothing to do with Herobrine, and is in Minecraft's credits.

Just stating my opinions plus some facts.
