My impression has been that 1.13 being better than 1.12 was the popular opinion (even outside the MS/Mj bubble).

I wouldn't call this a hot take since I think they are both annoying to the same level. Both of them hit you when you're not aware that they are here with quick striking or range attacks. However, you can stop phantoms from spawning by sleeping so I guess that might make them less annoying

annoying. phantoms aren't even dangerous but skeletons will appear literally everywhere

Marvel Rivals is an FPS/MOBA hybrid game where you shoot each other in first/3rd person pov and complete objectives
Raid is a turn based/pokemon-esque game
There is literally no comparison between them other than how consumer friendly they are (and raid is much more worse than rivals iirc)
Also Marvel Rivals is downloadable for free and only cosmetics are locked with money. Meanwhile in Raid, you need to pay to progress

Depends on if they're being racist to you, to strangers or to others you care about.

i thought of mentioning this one, since racist elderlies can vary, but i need to keep things as short as possible
but im just gonna say this, just dont waste time arguing them, even if you dont feel happy with their ways of thinking, even if they are racist towards you, there's no point, they are old, and old people are more likely to be more preserved with their boomer era ideology, its better to focus on the young or focus on your age or your parents, they are more likely to have human equality values since they are the future, atleast in the western developed nations

That is the pragmatic solution, however most people, as humans are emotional beings, could in some capacity get upset from being insulted and strains your relationship with them (whether it's a friend or peer).
Also there are plenty of young people in the western world that have gone conservative (ironically more compared to 10-20 yrs ago, and likely thanks to social media), so this trend doesn't always apply to boomers

I guess it also comes down to how someone handles differing opinions. Some people get defensive or even hostile, while others take it as a chance to reflect or learn. But you're right — even a pragmatic approach doesn't always shield us from emotional tension.
