Hi everyone,
I'm relativly new to the community of MC.
I have a project in mind, i want to create a big island with japanese/thailand design
But i just don't know how to start the project.
I saw Aurélien Sama i want to do something similar to this, but how does he start a new project ?.
- I want a flat ocean with bottom and nothing else
- I want to create a map around 256x512 (if possible)
- I want to make sure the map will survive with the update of minecraft
- I want to export only my map and not the seed that comming with it (if possible)
Right now i'm using Voxel sniper and experiment it. I think i have just enough skill to start my island but i just don't know how to start it and make sure everything is optimised (no other world(seed?))
I'm not quite sure how Mc work, it seem that every time i explore a map it's incremented in the file forever and the rest can be change if MC change something in the biome.

Here my problem with world painter :

If anyone know how to create a full ocean map with smooth border please, be my guest.

I don't realy understand why i should get mc edit or world edit, i mean, i can do everything with sniper so... why should i use world edit or mc edit ?
The only thing that come in my mind is to help me to create the initial map, wich what i'm looking for.
Exemple :
Create a full ocean 256x256
No other chunk can be loaded (to optimise the file size and seed generation for further version of mc)

What is the difference between voxel sniper, world edit, and mc edit ?

Voxelsniper mainly uses the arrow and gunpowder to terraform, and has many, many uses. Worldedit focuses on commands that let you generate things like spheres, pyramids, and make selections to fill holes and stuff. MCEdit is a worldeditor that is not ingame, and I think it is the hardest to use.

I think something like Mc edit would help with the basic designing
